About Animals at Home (South East Essex) Ltd.

Animals at Home ( South East Essex ) is run by Doug Drummond.

As a teenager Doug worked on a farm in his native Scotland and then spent 12 years in the army travelling throughout the world including three years in Kenya.

He then spent almost 30 years working in finance in the city and redundancy gave him the opportunity of working for himself and a complete change of career.

He has owned a border collie, a German shepherd and various cats. For many years he kept freshwater tropical fish. His children have had the usual range of small pets and now his grandchildren are continuing the family tradition.

He say's the excellent training he received from Animals at Home has given him the opportunity of running a successful business in South East Essex
